Offline Billing

1. The system first segregates data into three different states:

  • ’100% Accurate’ – Data is firmly synchronized between server (at HO) & sales terminal
  • ‘Inaccurate’ – Data has at least one of the attributes missing in the server side
  • ‘Suspect’ when the system throws unexpected error during synchronization

2. The system then informs the user of the current state of billing

  • Whether the system is currently functioning in the online or offline mode

3. One-time and Piece-meal (during Online work mode)

  • Full synchronization of data when an employee logs in for the first time
  • Incremental synchronization of data for subsequent logins

4. Warning against Data Synchronization mismatch

  • System identifies Inaccurate & Suspect data packs during user login and billing
  • It warns user of pending data synchronization b/w server & terminal when the intranet connection is restored
