Offline Billing
1. The system first segregates data into three different states:
- ’100% Accurate’ – Data is firmly synchronized between server (at HO) & sales terminal
- ‘Inaccurate’ – Data has at least one of the attributes missing in the server side
- ‘Suspect’ when the system throws unexpected error during synchronization
2. The system then informs the user of the current state of billing
- Whether the system is currently functioning in the online or offline mode
3. One-time and Piece-meal (during Online work mode)
- Full synchronization of data when an employee logs in for the first time
- Incremental synchronization of data for subsequent logins
4. Warning against Data Synchronization mismatch
- System identifies Inaccurate & Suspect data packs during user login and billing
- It warns user of pending data synchronization b/w server & terminal when the intranet connection is restored
